Global warming: Then hell froze over, Part II

For the many liberals who have said they would believe conservatives are right about Iraq and global warming when hell freezes over, guess what?

Since many liberals don’t believe in hell, God did the next best thing and made it snow in Baghdad for the first time in 100 years. Here’s the AP link.

And it just happened to occur on the same day President Bush was in Israel taking a break from his Mideast peace efforts to follow in Jesus’ footsteps on a tour of many of the famous sites in the Holy Land, including the Mount of the Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his famous speech about “blessed are the peacemakers,” etc. Maybe Bush will walk on water tomorrow.

(Disclaimer: I kid, of course. Most people would realize this without being told, but based on some of the comments I’ve received lately, there are a number of folks out there who are part Vulcan.)

One day of snow doesn’t disprove anything. (Just like one hurricane doesn’t prove anything, either.) But even so, it’s a remarkable set of circumstances, which is probably lost on Algorites and other liberals. Reuters, for instance, wasted no time finding an “expert” to assure us that warming is still coming, despite the snow in Baghdad and the lack of any warming for 10 years.

The rest of us can enjoy God’s sense of humor.
