Obama nation: Bribing Mr. Gore

This is a day late, but I wanted to give Obama’s trial balloon of putting Al Gore in his presidential cabinet some thought.

On its face, it was a clear and amateurish attempt to bribe Gore into coughing up an endorsement that would probably swing the rest of the superdelegates to Obama.

Gore is in thick with the Democratic Party leadership, and as the Sorcerer Supreme in command of global climate, they realize he holds the keys to the Comintern’s ability to usher in back-breaking taxation and the birth of the American Uber-state.

Obama this week received Jimmy Carter’s annointing. The delusional former president, who is also a superdelegate, is so convinced his opinion matters to the entire world that he made his announcement in an interview with a Nigerian newspaper.

But Obama wants the big fish.

The question is, would Gore bite? The former veep and erstwhile presidential candidate has undergone a profound transformation since his failed run for the White House. He took his lessons from the Clintons, whom he both owes and reviles, and has turned himself into a master manipulator.

That Gore might be tempted by a cabinet post created just to address his pet project, global warming, is assumed. But I would be a bit surprised if he would seriously consider taking it.

With Nobel empowerment under his mystical cloak, Mr. Gore would likely find a mere cabinet position too confining. Cabinet members are subject to scrutiny by Congress, by other cabinet members, by the press. The sorcerer’s work may best be accomplished in secret.

Gore has positioned himself to make a massive profit once the effects of global warming hysteria start kicking in. Unlike global warming’s effects, which are pure imaginings, the changes wrought by global warming hysteria could be real and long-lasting, and Gore’s many investments and presence on numerous corporate boards stand to make him wealthy indeed.

Gore’s true intentions are known only to himself. He will almost certainly use his influence over the superdelegation to his advantage, but as far as accepting a new political position, he may have left such mortal concerns behind long ago and may be aiming for a seat at the table on Mount Olympus, alongside George Soros and other powers behind the powers.
